Ileana Sanchez, LMHC
Ileana is a first-generation, Latina-American licensed therapist with over a decade of experience as a social justice advocate, case manager, and therapist in the non-profit sector. She specializes in working with adults with complex PTSD, in areas of intimate partner violence (IPV), childhood trauma, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, racial and first-generation trauma.
She incorporates a somatic, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive approach, that promotes acceptance, healing, and re-visioning for all in the therapeutic space. Her style is informed by a variety of theoretical frameworks, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic principles.
She believes that you already contain everything you need to heal. She aims to provide the space where you can build the security within yourself to move through pain and curiously reflect on challenging memories to develop new perspectives.
She is passionate about supporting you to honor your values with intentionality and purpose, gain insights into barriers, and create the change you seek.
Together you will take a journey and share triumphs, sorrows, interests, and laughs. She collaborates to explore how to implement your strengths, live more mindfully, and leverage your power to live a more fulfilling and authentic life.
