Chaveli De Leon, LMHC is a mental health therapist, with experience working with adults, families, children, and couples. She utilizes an empathic and non-judgmental approach ensuring warm and supportive space for individuals to openly discuss and explore the stressors that have caused mental health distress. Her aim is to make therapy sessions interactive, collaborative, and above all a safe space where no thought is too small, and no feeling is too insignificant.
As a Latina therapist, she also believes in the importance of cultural competency, and always approaches her work through the lens of social justice and anti-oppression frameworks.
Chaveli De Leon’s approach to therapy is one in which she works collaboratively with clients. She utilizes evidence based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, while always integrating a very person-centered framework. Her goal in working with my clients is to foster a sense of autonomy, growth, self-awareness, acceptance, and healing.
Chaveli De Leon has worked with clients experiencing difficulties related to trauma, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, racial identity, communication difficulties, relationship issues, and general adjustments to everyday life.
