How are you currently navigating through life? There are times when we are thriving and other times when we’re just making it, and that often has to do with the support and tools we have available. Being grounded in reality therapy will allow us to focus on the power of choice and change in the areas of life that you want to improve. I use the word “challenge” because this means that achieving your idea of wellness may be difficult, but it is not impossible. Together we will explore your experiences to establish goals and language that feels right to, and for, you. I also support those who are seeking to explore, process, and heal through ancestral work.
My passion stems from my experiences. As a Black nonbinary femme, I'm aware of many of the challenges that are being faced as we navigate through life. Along with the re-emergence of language to describe the various identities we all have, I have found that it can also feel good to create language that feels good and allows us to walk through life with more confidence and understanding of who we are.
If you're looking for group therapy I facilitate an interpersonal processing group that centers Black adults who have recently moved to New York and have faced challenges with establishing community. In this group we explore topics of identity, transitions, and aspects of connectedness.
